| How to Upgrade Windows Media Player
The instructions below are provided as a courtesy. You should read your operating system online help and consult Microsoft for official instructions. We Be Lez assumes no responsibility, liability or otherwise culpability for providing the instructions below. Use the following procedure to upgrade Windows Media Player:
- On the top left menu of Windows Media Player, click Help and then click Check for Player Updates. If updates are available, a dialog box opens for Windows Media Player Update.
- Click Next. You are prompted to close other Windows applications. Follow the prompt's instructions.
- Click Next. Media Player downloads the updates.
- Follow all instructions on the screen and then click the Next and Finish buttons when prompted.
Note: If you have an older version of Windows Media Player, you may need to use the Windows Add/Remove programs option to remove and then update Windows Media Player. To run a test movie and then uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player:
- Determine if you can view a licensed file. Close Window Media Player if is open and then click the following link: http://www.drmnetworks.com/media/silent_video_test.wmv
- If you cannot view this file, you need to uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player. Your steps may vary. Refer to Windows online help for formal instructions, but as an informal guide:
- Click My Computer.
- On the left of My Computer, click Control Panel.
- Click Add or Remove Programs.
- On the left, click Add/Remove Windows Components.
- Uncheck Windows Media Player.
- Click the Next button and follow the prompts.
- Reinstall Windows Media Player using the files at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/download/download.aspx
